Abstract

|
A 37 year-old male patient came to the Chonnarn University Hospital complaining of polyuria, polydipsia and muscle cramp of one year duration.
Physical examination revealed that he had hypertension and positive Trousseau´s sign. Serum electrolyte showed low K with mild alkalosis. Urinary Th-aldosterone excretion was also elevated. The patient was explored and found to have an adenoma in left adrenal cortex. Thus the diagnosis of the primary aldosteronism was confirmed. The disease was cured with surgery and he.is leading normal life.
